Dirty floors? Miele's C2 Series (MSRP $399--749) may get them clean. The models in
The C2 line are lightweight but equipped with the exact same powerful engine, and our evaluations
Show they're good at clearing short carpet and hardwood floors.
There's only one caveat: Most versions are only compatible with Miele's TurboBrush
carpet head. Because It's powered by air and not an electric engine, it does not work well on
very deep rugs.
Model By Model
There are six unique vacuums in the Miele C2 Series. We just recommend one for
high pile carpet: the Compact C2 Topaz (MSRP $749). You'll want the Topaz because
It ships with Miele's powered ElectroBrush, which can root dirt out of deep rugs.
Alternatively, the Compact C2 HomeCare is at least compatible with the ElectroBrush,
which sells for $209 separately.
This is the C2 Onyx, which ships with a Parquet Twister floor tool and a Turbobrush.
Most of the attachments can fit onboard.
The powerbrush isn't powered, but it does pack a punch.
The parquet attachment is used for hardwood flooring.
All other models either ship with or are compatible with Miele's TurboBrush, an airpowered
Brush head that is phenomenal--as long as you've got low carpet. Beyond that,

Will It Clean My Floors?
Regrettably, Miele's TurboBrush simply does not have the power to clean thick carpeting,

HomeCare to use it.

Know all C2 versions positively clog up fur and hair, and debris ranging in size from grime

The Miele C2 Series is strong and easy to use, with a bunch of handy accessories to
boot. Those with shag carpet--or even plush rugs--will need the pricier C2 Topaz, but
